University House, opened in 1954 as the first permanent building at the ANU, has long been the social and intellectual heart of the University. This exhibition traces University House’s origins as “Oxbridge in the Bush”, to its changing role over the years as a hub for students, staff and visitors. Rare items from the University Archives including photographs, drawings, correspondence, and ephemera, will be on display, showcasing University House’s enduring place in the ANU community.
