Complete RRR training by 29 May

As an ANU student, you are required to complete the Rights, Relationships & Respect (RRR) online training modules by Friday 29 May, the last teaching day of your first semester of studies. If you live in an ANU student residence, you are required to complete the program by Sunday 31 March.

The online learning modules will introduce you to core concepts relating to respectful relationships and sexual consent, as well as important information about ANU care and support services.

If you do not complete the program, you will be unable to access your academic transcript or receive your degree, diploma, certificate or other University award. If you live in an ANU residence you may be put on probation with limitations on applying for leadership roles, returning to residence, attending residential events and activities.

RRR will take you 1–2 hours to complete from start to finish. Remember to watch all videos in the program to achieve 100% completion.

By completing the program, you are helping to make ANU a more respectful, safe, and inclusive place for everyone

Know your rights and responsibilities

The Student Code of Conduct isn’t just rules – it outlines your rights, your responsibilities and the support available to you. If you experience or witness harmful behaviour, you are encouraged to seek support or make a report.

The University has recently updated the Code in response to community feedback received from the 2025 Student Disciplinary Framework Review and to embed the principles of the National Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.

Students are encouraged to read the updated Student Code of Conduct and submit their feedback before 1 December.

Bringing Fred Ward’s designs back home to University House

When University House opened in 1954, every chair, table, sideboard and armchair was crafted specifically for the building, designed from scratch by Fred Ward, one of Australia’s most significant mid-century designers.

Now, as University House prepares to reopen in August, those same pieces are returning. They have been restored rather than replaced and carry a design philosophy that still feels quietly radical.

Bites and Brews: On Campus favourites

We’re spotlighting the places our community keeps coming back to in this edition of Bites & Brews.

The Corporate Communications team is currently loving Savoir French at the School of Arts and Design (the coffee and pastries), Craft Beans at the Marie Reay Teaching Centre (great cold brew) and Spice Sizzle in Joplin lane, Kambri (the curry chicken and crispy chicken are standouts).

We’ll be featuring rotating staff and student recommendations in upcoming editions of On Campus, helping the ANU community discover new spots and support local favourites.

Have a favourite worth sharing? Add it to our quick form and help build the ultimate campus food guide.

Scene on our Campus

This week’s picture was taken by Leifite Taliano, an undergraduate student studying a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Languages, who captured this night scene on campus.

“I took this photo on my way back home after my first club activity. It was raining and dark, so it wasn't very comfortable weather to be in. I think that the photo has a bit of a comfortable feeling, if in a sort of otherworldly way, and so I like it.”
